In an announcement that has taken the publishing world by surprise, Fifty Shades of Grey author E L James has revealed a brand new addition to her steamy bestselling book series about S&M fan Christian Grey and his love interest Anastasia Steele.

“Fifty Shades of Grey is a love story that has enthralled readers in a way that few books have,” said Vintage Books publisher and James’ editor Anne Messite.

“When Erika mentioned to me that she wanted to re-open the story, this time from the viewpoint of a fundamentalist hardliner exploring her X-rated books for the first time, I was incredibly excited for her and for her readers.
